Both reared and steeped in Appalachian traditions and both have ventured down musical trails that have taken them far from their roots, yet not far from their values. February 13 - Washington and Lee University, Lexington, VA. The play "A Kindly Visitation" by James Leva will be presented as part of the Flournoy Festival of New Plays at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. The play depicts James’ visits with legendary fiddler Tommy Jarrell, The cast will be Riley Baugus, Stephen Wade (of Banjo Dancer fame), Danny Knicely and James Leva.
